Yum, yum, yum. Burgers make me feel so good and now with this meat alternative lentil based burger, you don’t have to feel guilty about eating burgers more often. I have them lots. I admit, I eat them at breakfast too.

Cook time: 12-15 min

Yield: 4 patties, 2 servings

 

Ingredients

 

1 cup Canned chickpeas, rinsed and drained
1 cup Canned lentils, rinsed and drained
½ cup Oat bran
4 cloves Garlic, minced
1 Small onion, peeled and chopped
1 Whole egg
1 tsp Unrefined sea salt
Grating of fresh black pepper
1 tsp Dried oregano
½ tsp Dried turmeric
½ cup Chopped cucumber
Handful fresh chopped parsley

 

Method:

 

1. Place all ingredients in bowl of medium food processor.
2. Process until smooth.
3. Remove from food processor and put contents in bowl.
4. Add cucumbers and parsley.
5. Shape into 4 evenly sized patties.
6. Heat non-stick griddle to medium.
7. Coat with a bit of coconut oil.
8. Cook patties until golden on both sides.
