Servings: 7 x ½ cup servings
Prep Time: 10 min.
Bake Time: 20 min.
Dry Ingredients:
3 cups Gluten-free rolled oats (Bob’s Red Mill has a gluten-free variety)
¼ cup Lightly ground flax seed, not meal
¼ cup Wheat germ
1 cup Raw, slivered almonds
1 cup Raw pumpkin seeds
1 cup Dried cranberries (dried cherries are also delicious but harder to find)
1 tsp Unrefined sea salt
1 tsp Ground cinnamon
1 tsp Ground cardamom
¼ tsp Ground nutmeg
Combine all in a large mixing bowl.
Wet Ingredients:
½ cup Manuka Honey
¼cup Maple syrup
2 Tbsp Unsulfured molasses
1 Tbsp Bourbon vanilla (smells like homemade baking and Christmas)
2 Tbsp Coconut oil
¼ cup Espresso (yes!)
Preparation:
1.) Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Line large baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper.
2.) Whisk wet ingredients in a bowl.
3.) Combine wet and dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl using clean hands to mix. Spread mixture in a thin layer on prepared baking sheet.
4.) Bake in a 300 degree F oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown. The smell alone is heavenly. The taste is divine.
5.) Remove from oven and let cool. Pour into airtight container.
Is there a substitute for bourbon in this granola recipe? Love scrolling through all these recipes.

I posted the response to this but it didn’t appear. Try using lemon juice or Organic unsweetened apple juice instead of bourbon. But I think the ingredient was supposed to be bourbon vanilla not bourbon. It doesnr sound like something I would use.
