Almond milk for purified water? I don’t see any water in the recipe. Am I missing something?
Sorry I don’t think I understand the question.
The recipe shows only eggs as a liquid…?
No need to calorie count when you eat clean. Trust in Tosca and the food. Add in exercise and you will be rocking it!!
Thank you for posting this Tosca. I attempted to make pancakes on my own with almond flour and they completely broke apart. Can’t wait to try these..
Hi Nancy. I think you will find that these pancakes will become a staple in your kitchen. I love them and often eat them in place of bread.
Eat and enjoy!

Sorry but there is no way this photo is of this recipe. I just made them. They do not look light at all like the photo. When you throw in the cinnamon and the flax, they get brown. Not a problem, but just commenting that I don’t believe this is the actual photo.
Is almond meal the same thing as almond flour? I believe so. And I wonder if gluten-free oat flour (finely ground oats) could be used instead of almond meal/flour? Would cut down on the calories tremendously. Or maybe 1/2 oat flour & 1/2 almond meal?
Hello Ssmith.
Thank you for your email. almond meal and almond flour are the same thing.
As for the picture, understand it is a photo and during placing an image on a site or elsewhere, colours may change. Cinnamon and flax do make the pancakes somewhat more brown as do various sweeteners used.
I hope you enjoy them.

I was thinking putting the batter into my waffle maker Do you think it will turn out ok?
This should work just fine in a waffle maker.
Enjoy the fun flavor.

They work amazingly in the waffle maker!! It’s a staple of my lunch kit!!
Made these for breakfast this morning. I can only eat two of them as they are so filling. Added cardamom, extra sprinkles of cinnamon (lover of cinnamon), topped with blueberries and a dollop of farm fresh lemon Greek yogurt for a little moisture and flavor. Yum 🙂
PS: I also use Almond milk (unsweetened- Vanilla 40 Cal. Blue Diamond brand) when making my almond pancakes instead of purified water. They turn out even better.
I have used ground almond since 1992 for GF recipes. The key is the liquid, almond will absorb the liquid the key is to water purified water to the mix and let it be a little runny, and turn down the heat on your stove. Low and slow is the answer. My almond pancakes turn out very tasty but they have to be watched and they don’t rise up like regular pancakes.
I had the same problem Tiffeny. Mine were very dense. My husband threw his out. I saw someone else say they were wonderful, so I think I must have missed something.
I tried this receipe for it was in the Fit Boost meal plan and it turned out extremely dry. Has anyone else ran into this problem. Feels like I missed a liquid ingredient, but I followed the receipe exactly.
I think this is 2 servings. Calories are 359 per serving, without toppings. 20g protein; 27g fats; 12g carb. Pretty well balanced with good fats and very filling. With a half cup unsweetened applesauce, it brings calories to 419 and adds 13.5g carbs to overall meal, for those who count calories/macros.
What is the nutritional value of this recipe?
1 cup of almond meal? That seems like a lot to me…calories wise
